'My daughter has absolutely loved this circle. We have just melted into the love, warmth and care shown by the beautiful leaders of the circle. Their knowledge and care permeates through everything they do. It’s been such a wonderful time for me and my daughter to bond, it creates talking points that we can then go home and discuss further together, she feels safe to ask the questions she may not have asked otherwise, and I’m so happy to have such an open, honest and nurturing relationship with her as she goes into her teenage years. This circle will be something I think we will remember and cherish for the rest of our lives.'

'It's so fun and you can just can share anything, and you feel like no one is going to go back and say anything to people you know outside the circle. The first week is a bit nerve wrecking but then once you get there you sit down and they talk to you and it feels like all the worry has gone. The best bit is all the crafts we did, sometimes we have to work out what to do and the meaning behind it which can be tricky, but it’s always fun. Charlotte and Kerry are really really nice people. They try to see the bright side in anything. When I go to the group with my Mum I always felt like anything could be said, I could just say it. I don’t need to put my hand up like at school… unless there is someone talking, I can just say it. You feel like outside you can’t always say what you think. It feels really nice to be there with your Mum. You should totally do this, it is the best thing ever! And when I come back on a Tuesday I feel really relaxed and I can just go to sleep really easily.'

'The circles have felt like a wonderful warm and nurturing environment for us to explore the upcoming changes to womanhood with all our girls.
My daughter found the session on period self care particularly helpful. Compared to the coldly clinical and rushed topic it had been for her at school, this session, sensitively run by Kerry and Charlotte turned the exploration of ‘first bleed’ into something to be celebrated and anticipated. It was a warm and nurturing way to give the girls time to explore, whether testing out practical features of moon cups and period pants, or asking curious questions. And while my daughter has enjoyed all the craft activities, she was utterly captivated by the moon basket and belly balms this week!'

'I love being in circle because it is safe to say things. I look forward to going because it feels special like it is made for me n the other girls. I like making stuff and keep everything we do. I live learning about the amazing things women can do.
I cannot wait to start bleeding, I understand the changes in my body and it is exciting, I think about what we do and it makes me happy.'

'Mother n Daughter way has been so much more than l expected, the space is held so beautifully, giving the girls the opportunity to explore themes surrounding the transition to women. I feel so privileged to have held our daughters on their first steps toward womanhood. I have learned so much too! I feel the girls have experienced the joy of being a woman, surrounded by laughter and love. It has opened the way for many many conversations to be had at home, mother n daughter way set the tone for these conversations, that of respect love n fun. I truly believe mother n daughter way will be remembered by iris and I for many years ahead, and has given our whole family a door into celebrating womanhood.'

'With my daughter just starting high school, I was looking for a group which we could attend together so she could hear and learn from other women other than just myself. I felt that what she had been taught at school about menstruation and puberty wasn't quite what I was looking for and wanted her to learn more about this significant time in her life in a more positive and embracing way. We talk openly about all sorts of issues but I really felt that being in a group of females gave the whole experience a different, more powerful connection.... listening and sharing our stories, laughing at the experiences us mothers had when we were growing up has shown the young women that there is so much more to the 'dreaded period'.
It took my daughter a bit of warming up and still she rarely speaks out, often preferring to listen but she often speaks about what has been discussed in groups and relates this to her experiences at school, with friendships and also our own relationship!
Also, having had periods for 30 years, I have been surprised by just how much I have learnt from the group too. Coming to the age where I will be facing menopause, the group has helped me to think more positively about the changes I am also experiencing.
I would highly recommend this group and will be sad when our group finishes! Please can we have follow up sessions?!'
